Pretrip — Automated
Run the automated pre-trip inspection test
The automated Pretrip runs 10-14 tests to verify that all major components of the unit are operating correctly. Run this test BEFORE loading the trailer.
Press MENU until PRETRIP is displayed on the screen.
Press the PRETRIP soft key, then select "Start Pretrip" and press EQUALS to begin.
The Pretrip checks: • Display test • 12VDC component check • Sensor check • Engine speed tests • Heater check • Evaporator fan check • Condenser fan check • CSMV check • EVXV check • ECXV check • LIV check • Remote EVXV check
The Pretrip test takes approximately 7-25 minutes to complete.
Results will display as one of: • PRETRIP PASS — All tests passed, unit is operating correctly • PRETRIP FAIL IN TEST ## — A specific test failed (note the test number) • PRETRIP FAILED AND COMPLETE — Multiple tests failed
Test 1 requires your participation: a buzzer sounds and the light bar illuminates. Verify you can hear the buzzer and see the lights, then confirm on the display.
If "CAN NOT START PRETRIP" displays, check for: active PC (computer) mode, defrost mode running, or active shutdown alarms. Clear these conditions before attempting the Pretrip again.
